My Approach to Helping
For many of us, at one time or another in our journey, we reflect on our lives and begin to ask questions like "Why have I not become what only I can become?" We discover that we have obstacles, beliefs and other burdens that have stood in our way. I seek to help clients accept reality as it is, to be themselves and to enjoy being themselves. Internal harmony is essential to human happiness. In sessions, clients discover the totality of their personhood, come to appreciate being alive, to thrive rather than to simply survive. This is done by helping the client truly makes space for their inner self and live a life that is in accord with oneself, to live authentically. This requires careful and sustained reflection while also learning practical skills to handle life. On this foundation, one can turn to the outside world and build a healthy network of relationships, find meaning in one's life and hope for the future while becoming comfortable in the present. I am an associate in training with the Institute of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis in Vienna.
