My Approach to Helping
With over 20 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, medical social work and community mental health. Some of my areas of professional interest include providing support through life transitions, anxiety and depression, divorce recovery, blended family issues, grief and loss, trauma and helping to manage the stress of medical illnesses and mental health issues.
My first and most important goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space, to talk about whatever is important to you.
I attended Columbia University in New York, where I earned a Master's in Social Work and I attended Vanderbilt University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
As an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I know that all people have the ability to learn, adapt and grow in positive directions through a secure therapeutic alliance. I derive a deep sense of purpose from entering into a partnership with my clients and working together to achieve happier and healthier lives for yourselves, as well as supporting you in building stronger and more enriching relationships.
