I am passionate about working with people to make a positive difference in their lives. Whatever change you are looking to achieve- decreasing stress levels, feeling better about relationships or work, overcoming past trauma and finding a way to feel proud and self-confident, setting life goals and feeling fulfilled and happy with your life, dealing with anxiety or depression and getting un-stuck. I work with adults, young adults, and adolescents in individual psychotherapy (and also work with couples and families). With an eclectic and relational approach, our focus together is always to help you learn to improve their own self awareness and insight. Together, using a holistic approach, we will work to break down ingrained barriers and negative patterns in order to find success and positive progress in therapy.

More Info About My Practice

Finding a therapist can be a hard, confusing and overwhelming process. I try to do everything in my control to make it an easy and transparent process. I now offer easy online self-scheduling! Check out my website to get started.

My office is located in Brooklyn Heights.

I am fully credentialed with CIGNA insurance plans and also offer Out-of-Network Insurance reimbursement (you will be provided with an invoice for your insurance company, who will then reimburse you for fees paid- depending on the specific benefits of your plan). Sliding scale available for those with financial need.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can be extremely helpful for all sorts of people, and to help with all kinds of problems. By having a completely non-judgmental sounding board, you are able to fully dissect and explore all areas of your life. There's no influence from family members, friends, or partners (all who may have their own take on the situation and who likely have their own opinions on what you should do). By attending psychotherapy each week, you are focusing on YOU- YOUR thoughts, YOUR feelings, YOUR desires and YOUR goals. It is a true gift to yourself to take this time to focus on you. Especially in such a busy and hectic city, we often do not get enough time to focus on ourselves. I have early morning, afternoon, and evening appointments- to accommodate your schedule, and my office is conveniently located in Brooklyn Heights (off 2/3/4/5/R/F trains)

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

When looking for a therapist, it is so important to find a good match and someone you feel comfortable with. So much of the work we do together... is done TOGETHER. You need to find someone you trust and can connect with. I offer 15 minute free phone consultations, to at least help allow us to get to know one another a bit; and to answer any questions you may have. During our phone consultation, we'll talk briefly about why you're looking to start therapy at this time, and what you're looking for in a therapist. Any previous therapy experiences can also be helpful to look at (things you liked/that worked for you, what didn't work, etc). I also work with a lot of first-timers (first time trying psychotherapy), so am completely open to answering any questions you have about the process, what to expect, etc.
