My Approach to Helping
My name is Kristina Fioravante and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a 2017 alumnus from an NYS licensure qualifying Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY College at Old Westbury. Prior to my Master's, I've also retrieved my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Old Westbury.
Since working in the field post graduation, I have had significant experience working with various populations including individuals with physical, emotional, and behavioral impairments. I have also developed skills that have made me well equipped to handle different types individuals with various mental disorders such as Bipolar and Schizophrenia. I also have experience working with individuals whom struggle with Anxiety and Depression.
Asking for help is one of the most difficult challenges that we face as people, but it could be very rewarding in the end. I praise and applaud those who take that first step toward creating a better version of themselves by entering therapy.
I currently work Monday-Friday evenings starting at 5pm and ending at 8pm. I will continue to update my hours and schedule as needed.
