Reaching out is the first step towards healing!
As human beings we long for a sense of belonging and for others to accept us for who we truly are. If you fall outside of social norms you may face specific struggles. The fear of being discriminated against for being different in terms of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, and culture are based on reality. I seek to provide a safe and empowering space to explore these issues in a way that makes you feel seen and heard.

Are you tired of being ignored and feeling isolated?
Do you feel uncomfortable in your own body?
Do you feel disconnected and/or undeserving of the love of others?
Are you troubled by feelings of unworthiness or insecurity?
Do you worry about developing relationships with people who will be open and accepting of your diversity?

I use effective strategies that will help you:
Cope with difficult feelings such as anger, worry, and sadness
Find relief from anxiety and depression
Become comfortable with who you are
Address ways in which you may be self-medicating
Build your confidence and self-esteem
Address internalized homophobia/biphobia/transphobia
Address racial trauma
Increase connectedness with self and others

I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Texas. I earned my doctoral degree from Western Michigan University and my masters from Loyola University Chicago. My own life experiences make me passionate about working with people from different cultural, racial, ethnic, and sexual identity groups. I believe that therapy should celebrate and advocate the authenticity and integrity of LGBTQ and racially diverse persons. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you prior to scheduling an appointment.

My Therapy Focus

I offer a compassionate, respectful, and healing space for patients to intentionally explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are causing their suffering.
