Would you like to experience more joy in your life? Are your relationships or work suffering because of emotional difficulties? I invite you to contact me, so we can help you move forward and progress, rather than stay stuck in patterns that are holding you back. Difficult times can be opportunities to change patterns and live up to your potential. I am a licensed psychologist with more than 17 years of experience helping clients move past the anxiety, sadness, confusion or worry. Don't let your potential go to waste. Though experiencing the vulnerability of reaching out for therapy can be anxiety provoking, the connection to an experienced clinician can be transformative. Even if you have been in therapy before and it did not feel helpful, most of my clients report my approach is different and much more helpful than their past endeavors in psychotherapy. I tailor my therapy to the client's needs, individual issues and both short and long term goals. I use a variety of techniques to bring about healing including dream work, CBT, DBT, EMDR and more traditional psychotherapy. In addition, I often refer my clients to additional resources to aid in their progress including acupuncture, skills training, coaching, group psychotherapy and meditation.

More Info About My Practice

Though the idea of entering therapy can be quite anxiety provoking, the rewards are often immeasurable and worth the vulnerability. I truly feel it is an honor working with clients and helping them to find the strengths they never realized they had. Living and working in San Francisco in these modern times can be a difficult, demanding experience. Therapy can serve as a safe place to explore the expectations put upon you by society and often by our past beliefs and current mindset. Slowing down and examining the thoughts that shape our moods and behaviors can help to ease anxiety and worry and prevent sadness and suffering. Through hard work both in and out of the therapy room, one can turn difficulty into strengths and joy.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

When one has endured past trauma or a difficult upbringing, life can feel so difficult and fraught with danger. Even without a "traumatic" background, many things can contribute to an experience in which our anxiety, fears and emotions get in the way of our success and happiness. Good psychotherapy can help remedy this by helping you move along the path to healing. Therapy can help you access your own strengths, get in touch with your abilities and learn new ways to cope with your emotions and understandable reactions. Therapy can empower you to better understand your patterns and help you grow to meet your own needs and live up to your potential.
