I'm glad you found me. Sometimes it takes a helping hand to move through difficulty, life changes and challenges. I know because I have been there. Uncertainty, trauma, grief, and anxiety have been areas that I have worked through over the years. And now I am helping others. I work with people who are struggling in relationship and struggling through anxiety, grief, depression, life transition and trauma. There is hope and a way through the pain of the past into the happiness and contentment of the present. I have helped many and I want to hear what is happening for you.

I love my work with couples. My heart expands and is happy when two partners start to feel safe and emotionally connected with each other with new communication and conflict resolution skills and with renewed passion, intimacy and trust. You can have the relationship that you want! Marriages and relationships that feel hopeless can be recreated and improved! I have helped many couples reach this place, and if you are looking for couples counseling I want to hear what is happening for you.

I have passion for my work with grief and loss. I work with adults who have lost spouses, children and parents. Grief can feel like a lonely place. I know of the importance of sitting by the side of one who is grieving and allowing for the full breadth of emotions (sadness, anger, guilt, helplessness, depression, fear of death). I'm not afraid to go to these places. I have helped many through grief and loss. If you are feeling the hurt and pain of losing someone you love, I want to hear from you.

Finally, I am passionate about my trauma work. Traumatic events from the past like sexual and physical abuse, emotional abuse, intimate relationship break ups, and bullying can feel intrusive today and stopping you from feeling joy and happiness. I use a research based trauma treatment to help clear out old traumas, and I have helped many in this way. You can have that day of not living with old, painful memories! I want to hear from you.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

From an early age, I knew that I wanted to be a counselor, to be in the helping profession. I have early memories of helping others through hard times and helping people get past differences and draw closer. It came naturally to me. I love that I can make a difference in people's lives. I love to serve and help others through their pain and uncertainty. I love when trauma has been resolved and people who come to see me are free of the pain of the past. I love when intimate partners look into each other's eyes and feel securely and emotionally connected. And I love when one who is grieving feels open and safe to express the full breadth of their loss, to give themselves a special opportunity to mourn.

My Therapy Focus

I believe that buried below all the shame, guilt, hurt, pain, anxiety, and depression is joy, peace, clarity, compassion and resting. It is our birthright. We came into this world with these qualities. I call this place our true essence or our higher self. And for all of us that essence has been covered over to certain degrees by life- abuse, trauma from the past, abandonment. For every person who comes to see me, I have my eye on their true self. And I work with them to peel back the layers of sadness, disconnection, and fear to start to live from a place that feels whole, fulfilling, peaceful and joyful.
