My Approach to Helping
Sometimes we need a little help to reclaim or find our inner strength. I believe we all possess the wisdom to succeed somewhere within our psyche. My goal in therapy is to help clients overcome the obstacles that hinder them on their path. I tend to look for the strengths in individuals and my objective is to embrace each client without judgment in order to create a safe environment. I also believe it is important for one to feel heard and validated for their experience in order to move beyond their blocks. I closely partner with each client to help reason through various life events. Solutions unfold and negative thoughts and beliefs are explored. I am influenced by Imago, Humanistic, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic theories. By combining these approaches which are tailored to each client's circumstance, insight is gained and a deeper and more profound understanding of one's self is reached.

My practice is focused on uncovering your strengths, building them up, and encouraging you to live the best life possible. This is accomplished by understanding the reality of your life, learning the stories that have affected how you live that life, and then creating new, constructive goals and directions from which to embrace a future that is built on strength and personal awareness. Through this process, our work together offers you the opportunity to connect to your core strength and experience life to the fullest. Currently I am in the process of forming a Couple's Therapy Group using the Imago Relational format. A group is a powerful experience for any couple that wants to improve their relationship.
