I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY31363) providing Individual, Family and Couples psychotherapy in a private practice setting in both West Los Angeles & Glendale. I work primarily with adolescents, young adults & adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral, emotional disturbance, relationship, and family dilemmas. I provide a flexible approach to understand and respond to the unique needs of each individual. My goals are to provide a safe, empathic and collaborative therapeutic environment to overcome the various challenges of everyday life. I work with your individual strengths to help understand, empower and develop healthy ways of coping. I work to create an effective therapeutic bond with consideration for your multicultural background to help you understand and heal root causes to presenting problems. Using this insight can help gain a new perspective on unhealthy patterns and will allow you to create the changes you want to see, and develop the hope and motivation you’re looking for.

Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to begin. My goal is to provide an opportunity to slow down, gain clarity, and bring everything that's been weighing on you, without feeling like you have to have all the answers. We'll make sense of what you're experiencing, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on your strengths to create meaningful change. I enjoy working with women navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and maternal mental health, as well as couples looking to strengthen their relationship. I primarily use Narrative Therapy, which means I believe you are much more than the challenges you're facing. Together, we'll explore new perspectives and work toward a life that feels more aligned with your values, your relationships, and the person you want to become. Starting therapy can feel uncertain, but you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. My goal isn't to tell you what to do, but to have conversations that help you better understand yourself, what's shaped you, and where you'd like to go. If this resonates with you, I'd love to connect.

It’s a very confusing time in history for men. There is so much messaging from all sides about what it means to “be a man”. Many men have been told their whole lives to “toughen up” and restrict their humanity to the culturally sanctioned “manly emotions,” such as anger. Society also tells men that it’s acceptable, even ideal, to possess women as a sign of their masculinity. Now, women are expecting more emotional literacy and maturity from men, who may now be called insensitive or toxic when behaving in the ways they were trained. Everyone deserves to be free to be their truest self, and to not be held back by gender roles or shame. I believe that the patriarchy has hurt and misled men. I am honored to witness any male identifying person become a confident leader without a need to dominate others. If you identify male and want to explore how to embody your masculinity in a healthy, authentic way, call or email me today to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

I do telehealth, which means I do online therapy in the comfort of your own home in any city in California. I don't provide in-person sessions. I specialize in helping males develop emotional intelligence. I work with teens and adults. As a male, you were told not to express how you feel despite what you go through, suppressing your suffering, sadness, anxiety, and trauma. Suppressing the parts of yourself that make you fully human. You have sufferings left untouched, with unexplored lessons of wisdom, which deepen your character, your integrity, and resilience. Although you've held it all inside, for days, months, or even years, you're still pushing forward, at work, in your relationships, as a husband, and as a father, trying to make it happen. But maybe in the midst of the fast life, you felt you lost yourself, felt unhappy, or numb. I'm here to help you reconnect with yourself and those around you by helping you build your emotional intelligence and tapping into your masculine genius. What is masculine genius? Men as masculine are made to actively initiate love and use their strength to protect and promote that love to others. By building your emotional intelligence, you will be able to explore the root causes of your struggles with compassion and understanding of yourself and those around you. I'm here to journey with you.

Each person requires us therapists to learn a new language, to paraphase Carl Jung. I am not a cookie-cutter, one size fits all therapist. I respect the intelligence and sensitivity of each client, and am told over and over again that my clients feel safe with me. I work collaboratively and creatively to help my clients find relief and solution. Some treatment is not necessarily long-term -- with EMDR, for instance, relief and improvement can sometimes come quickly. I have vast experience treating addictions of all kinds, and families and friends of addictsalcoholics. I am also experienced in treating trauma of various kinds, from childhood abuse to "single-incident" traumas such as car accidents, injuries, etc.

Are you busy caring for others but running on empty? Do you manage a lot, but underneath struggle with your own anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, food or body image issues or unresolved trauma? Does a part of you long for more connection in your close relationships (partner or friendships)? Are your struggles needing your attention? Let's give you the attention you need and deserve. I look forward to creating a safe, attuned therapy relationship with you in which you can feel seen, understood and cared for. We will listen closely to your feelings, actions, thoughts, bodily sensations and even your dreams to foster greater self-awareness and self-compassion. We will work with 'difficult' emotions, helping you to process them. We will also track your patterns in intimate relationships and your attachment styles to help you become more secure and free to give and receive love from a place of greater health. We can use the therapy relationship as a context to experience how you relate and what you need. We can discover not only what keeps you stuck in your struggle but also what will help you find relief and connection. As needed, I can help you process trauma (single incident or repeated, complex) with a gentle, steady approach. Together we can listen to the mind and body to understand the negative beliefs you hold as a result of the trauma. We can also use different methods for working through the unprocessed pain. EMDR (eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing) is one specific form of trauma treatment I incorporate, as appropriate. For those who desire spiritual integration, I can help people understand themselves as it pertains to their faith journey. I can be a safe place to deconstruct harmful beliefs andor reconstruct helpful beliefs and practices. In all of these processes I trust that the rest, intimacy, acceptance, change, relief and creativity you desire will emerge.
