My Approach to Helping
*My practice is open Monday to Wednesday, 12 to 7:45PM EST and offers HIPAA compliant video sessions.*
If you are reading this, chances are, you’ve tried just about everything and still feel angry, depressed, lonely, and overwhelmed.
My therapeutic style is dynamic, genuine, and straight forward. My aim is to help you set realistic goals, identify unhealthy patterns, and understand the underlying causes of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Many of my patients have reported reduced panic attacks, diminished desire to use alcohol or food to numb their emotional pain, a clearer cultural and racial identity, as well as learning crucial skills to identify “red flags” in relationships. With consistent hard work, we can replace unhealthy coping mechanisms with confidence, peace, and genuine joy in your life.
I am a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical & Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.
If you want different outcomes in life, you must be willing to think, feel, and behave differently. And it's going to be challenging. With that said, if you are motivated and ready to make lasting, positive changes in your life, please reach out to me via email.
