My Approach to Helping

Distressing emotions, relationships, or life circumstances may be causing you to look to therapy in search for more peace, satisfaction, wholeness, and meaning. Indeed, in therapy together we can work to understand the difficulties you are experiencing, move through these difficulties, and grow in acceptance and assertiveness of who you need to be personally. There is creative and transformative power in relationships, dreams, imagination, and other areas of life that don't often get spoken about.

I am here to listen deeply to these areas of your life. Although much of what is brought into therapy can be distressing, therapy with me can be a place to transform distress into greater self-expression through trust and discerning attentiveness to the wisdom of the psyche. I hope that you, like many of my clients, will find therapy with me to be a safe place to heal, deepen your self-insight, and discover new possibilities for your life.

More Info About My Practice

Out-of-network insurance and self-pay accepted. I will provide assistance to help clients receive insurance benefits when out-of-network benefits are available.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to be solely attuned to you for the duration of our time together, so that you may listen deeply to your own process of development and growth, which usually happens better in the presence of another who cares for you. It is important for me to remember and hold the pieces of your story together to help you see your life in a new way. But my role is not to have the final say in how to lead or understand your life. I offer you experienced understanding, attentiveness, and feedback, often in the form of insight. My hope is that you will feel supported, able to be interactive, and increasingly able to honor your own insights over the course of our work together.
