My Approach to Helping

Dr. Tasha Vitales is a postdoctoral fellow who received her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. Dr Vitales' ideal clients are teens and young adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and challenges related to self-esteem and self-confidence.

Dr. Vitales customizes her approach to suit the individual needs and meet her clients where they are, focusing on helping them find solutions using cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic, strength-based, and person-centered approaches while establishing a trusting therapeutic space. Her approach includes identifying treatment goals, increasing coping skills, and addressing barriers to progress.

Dr. Vitales has experienced her own hardship before getting to where she is. She battled through homelessness and poverty, was raised by a single parent, and had an absent father that struggled with substance abuse, yet she was able to thrive and overcome these obstacles and become a Doctor of Psychology. She is now in a position to give some of her wisdom to others, equipped to help clients to overcome their own challenges both through her experience and resilience and her expert technical training.

No topic is off limits with Dr. Vitales, she allows clients to feel comfortable enough to express themselves freely and help them to live their best life.

More Info About My Practice

It may seem hard to manage your mental health and relationships, but it doesn’t have to be. That's where we come in. Achieving balance in your life may seem complicated but it's easier than it looks. The therapists at Wellness Road Psychology know quite a bit about this and are here to help. We can help you take the guesswork out of these parts of your life so you can focus on the things you do best.

At Wellness Road Psychology, which has two locations in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and New York City’s Financial District, the therapists provide a safe and comfortable space for kids, adults, and couples to open up about their concerns and struggles with mental health. Their goal is to help people achieve fulfillment and overcome their obstacles. They understand that the prospect of therapy can seem intimidating to a new patient, and aims to help them feel relaxed upon entering the office.

Speaking of the office, it’s a modern, clean, and well-lit environment. Patients immediately feel at home and welcome in the waiting room, and even more so when they sit down for counseling. The team at Wellness Road Psychology engage patients, but keeps them relaxed and don’t make them leave their comfort zone until they’re ready. It’s essential that patients work at their own pace.
