My Approach to Helping

I know that no single therapeutic technique is the right one for every individual, which is why I incorporate an integrative approach to my therapeutic work that can be best described as interpersonal based with CBT and ACT. I truly value meeting my clients where they are in their healing process while promoting change and growth. My aim is to provide a safe space where clients have the opportunity to hear themselves in a new way, develop healthier perceptions of themselves, and strengthen their relationships.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Before starting therapy, it is important to remember to have patience with oneself and with the process. It is important to remember that progress is not linear. Change is not always easy nor does it feel good all the time despite having positive long term benefits. You will not always leave a session feeling ?good? and this is completely normal. At times, therapy involves working through difficult topicsexperiences that might be interfering with your current functioning. A good time to consider therapy is when your ability to adequately manage life?s stressors becomes compromised in some way. Understanding these factors and being motivated and dedicated to the process often yields the best therapeutic results.
