My Approach to Helping

Everyone can use a little help sometimes, so don’t be ashamed if you find yourself wanting to talk to a therapist. Life could be going very smoothly for you, and it seemed as if nothing could ever go wrong to get you to feel bad. But life is unpredictable that way. Regardless of how strong you may have been, sometimes, you may feel that you have reached the end of your rope and want to seek out professional help. Let’s get straight to the stigma about counseling. Counseling is not for people who are “crazy.” It is for all people who recognize that they could use some help to feel better, to gain clarity into their situations, and develop better coping skills to manage their problems.

    This group will provide a supportive online environment to individuals experiencing sadness, depression, anxiety, and isolation during this time of COVID-19. The group will be led and connected via zoom. It will provide participants an outlet for discussing their feelings, challenges, and the exploration of coping strategies to develop resilience and adaptive ways of coping. The group is limited to 10 participants and will meet for 12 consecutive sessions. To register, please call 954-492-7553.
