My Approach to Helping
I have been in practice for more than ten years. I have found success treating people who face mood dysregulation that causes relationship difficulties. I appreciate working with individuals experiencing troubling family circumstances or transitional times in their lives. I love working with those who are looking to create changes in their lives, and seeking to lead their lives to the fullest potential.
I believe that the best way to work through issues and healing is the utilization of the therapeutic relationship. This is done by creating a deep relationship between therapist and client which happens through regular, consistent talk therapy.
I enjoy working with people who are experiencing difficulty with transitions, whether it?s college, work, sexuality, divorce, or a recently diagnosed mental illness. I have a particular specialty in working with twenty-somethings who are attempting to "figure out what to do with their lives."

I strongly believe that discovering the original cause of the issue is essential for healing -- which I believe is attained by steady, relationship focused talk therapy.
I am currently accepting new patients.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I believe that the purpose of psychotherapy is to help people recognize and achieve their best life potential. There can be many barriers and road blocks to achieving your true life potential. However, once these things are realized and talked through, the barriers come down and the potential can be realized!
Additionally, therapy is used to understand how one's own mind works. Why do we act/react the way we do when presented with certain situations and people.
My Therapy Focus
I believe that much of the "work" of therapy is about grief. Maybe not grief in the strict understanding of the word, but grief regarding mourning the loss of what wasn't, what couldn't be. Once people are able to recognize the grief, they are able to come to accept what is.
