My Approach to Therapy

I strive to help people stop fighting their inner experience and start understanding itbuilding self-compassion, stability, and trust in the body and mind as healing unfolds. I am collaborative and empowering and work at a gentle pace to help people regulate, set boundaries, and trust their sensitivity rather than override it. I strive to be an emotionally attuned, trauma-informed, and nervous-system aware therapist.

My Practice & Services

I don't believe that one model works for everyone in every situation. That is why I integrate different techniques from a variety of models, including body-oriented psychotherapies, mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed models, internal family systems, emotionally focused therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Flash Technique, creative expression, ways to regulate the nervous system, and practical approaches.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

If you are struggling with feeling good about yourself, with worrying about the past or the future, or with having healthy connections with others, I can help. I am skilled at helping people with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I help people untangle unhealthy patterns so that they can get unstuck and feel happier, more confident, more at peace, and more connected.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My struggles with depression, anxiety and relationship issues has provided me with a deep compassion and understanding for other people struggling with life issues. This ongoing journey of struggle, courage, and healing, has strengthened my commitment to helping people be happier with themselves, with others and living according to their values.

Groups I Work With

I work with well with people who feel the world deeply, notice subtle details, emotions, and shifts that others may miss. Typically, their nervous system processes stimulation more intensely, which can make them easily overwhelmed but also deeply empathetic, intuitive, and thoughtful.
