My Approach to Helping

Practicing as a psychotherapist is an honor as I am allowed in to intimate moments of struggle, courage, and healing. I am engaged, curious, compassionate, reflective and collaborative. I focus on possibilities and growth. I believe that, no matter what we've been through, we all have within us a part that is wise, compassionate, confident, calm, and relational, and I am a catalyst to helping clients strengthen this part. Because of the intimate connection between the two, I believe it is important to help the mind and body heal and recovery. I don't believe there is one model that works for everyone. That is why I take many different trainings, so I can draw from different techniques, as needed and as welcomed, to help people heal. In addition brining diverse skills to my work, I am engaged, curious, compassionate, reflective, caring and collaborative, as I help people lead happier and more fulfilling lives.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

If you are struggling with feeling good about yourself, with worrying about the past or the future, or with having healthy connections with others, I can help. I am skilled at helping people with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I help people untangle unhealthy patterns so that they can get unstuck and feel happier, more confident, more at peace, and more connected.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My struggles with depression, anxiety and relationship issues has provided me with a deep compassion and understanding for other people struggling with life issues. Through therapy, and other practices, I have come to a happier and more grounded place. This ongoing journey of struggle, courage, and healing, has strengthened my commitment to helping people be happier with themselves, with others and living according to their values.
