My Approach to Helping
If you feel you are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, or issues with anger in your life, there is support. The clients who fully engage in the work that I do report having more clarity, freedom, and inner peace over time when they once thought it was not even possible. This is done by engaging in what I call the 4 pillars to freedom. This consists of: 1) Having a safe and confidential space to get honest and begin to tell the truth about our lives. 2) Engaging and learning mindfulness meditation in order to powerfully change our relationship to the thoughts that plague our minds on a day to day basis and discovering who we are beyond the limitations of the mind. 3) Learning one of the most powerful tools on the planet called Inquiry, which supports us in Questioning the Thoughts that hold us back in any area of our lives. 4) Learning how the biology of the body impacts our mood and seeing what changes we can make in our lifestyle to enhance wellbeing.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
When new to the idea of engaging in the process of therapy, it is easy to think that I am some authority to give you the answers to your life problems. I wish I could offer that, but even if I could, I would strip you of the awareness that the wisdom to live a life of vitality is within you, no matter your circumstance. My job is to show you a possibility of how you can tap into it so that when our journey together comes to a close in its own time, you have the ability to understand where your stressful feelings are coming from and what to do. The only difference between me and the specific clients I work with is awareness and understanding. I have felt the pangs of anxiety, fear, worry, stress, sadness, guilt, shame, and a mind that was so restless, it felt heavy to move authentically in the world. What I want you to know is that together we can engage in a journey that can support you in living with more vitality, less stress, more internal freedom, and a life based on our heart's desire.
