My Approach to Helping
Micaela Stein is a licensed social worker (LMSW) providing empathetic and individualized care to varied populations.
Micaela has worked with teenagers, adults, and couples around identity issues, anxiety, family conflict, substance use issues, and mental issues like depression and schizophrenia.
In her practice, Micaela’s aim is to work collaboratively on setting goals, identifying barriers, and building healthy relationships to help clients lead lives and form connections that are healthier, happier, and more meaningful.
Micaela has worked in a variety of settings, from schools to substance abuse centers. She has employed a Strength Based perspective, while including elements of psychoeducation, philosophical exploring, CBT, ACT, Trauma Informed Care, and Ego Psychology.
Micaela received an MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
