My Approach to Helping
*Currently accepting new clients for Telehealth. I am licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey.*
I work with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, loss, or abuse. At times, these experiences may show up later in various ways. Some may even experience anxiety, depression, and even PTSD as a result. Life transitions are part of the human experience but for many, change can feel unsettling, accompanied by feelings related to discomfort. You may have an awakening and realize you have been living your life in "survival mode”. You may look at your current surroundings and interpersonal relationships or reflect on life decisions or partners you have engaged with. You may ask yourself, “Is this what I truly want?” “Is this how I want to live the rest of my life?” This past year has been full of challenges. You may be experiencing a variety of emotions, both on a collective and personal level. But it has also created potential opportunities for inner healing and shifting. It is my intention to hold space and assist you in healing those deeper wounds you may still be carrying. For some, this could include the process of making the shift from survival mode to emotional freedom. I specialize in working with different types of trauma as well as life transitions. I have extensive experience in particular with working with survivors of sexual trauma, including history of childhood sexual abuse (as well as other types of abuse). I offer a holistic psychotherapeutic approach to healing that encompasses a combination of mind, body, and soul work. I work with a combination of modalities that include traditional talk psychotherapy (including Trauma-Informed CBT), Mindfulness, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Guided Imagery, Inner Child work, etc. Together, we can collaborate to discover which approaches work best for you.
