My Approach to Helping

The foundation of my professional practice is parts work, family mapping, and body-based interventions that honor the wisdom of our emotions. Healing does not take place in a vacuum and therapy should always acknowledge the interconnection of people with systems and the importance of relationships.
My approach recognizes the role of even our most dreaded patterns as parts of ourselves that are worthy of love and here to protect or nurture us in some way. Sometimes the things holding us back are inheritances and unfinished stories. For many of my clients, processing family dynamics and tracing familial patterns with genograms has been a powerful tool. I also believe welcoming body awareness into the therapy room can help uncover what has become embodied memory and unearth paths forward. I enjoy guiding clients through somatic exercises and mindfulness while they shift their inner worlds and build new resources that support regulation through feelings like anxiety, shame, and sadness.
