My Approach to Helping
We all manage an immense number of stressors in our daily lives and therapy is a space where you can take time to pause, reflect, and grow. You are the expert on your life and my role as your therapist is to provide insight and understanding into your experiences to assist you on your journey. I have experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural adjustment, interpersonal stress, and more.
I believe that every client’s needs are different and use various modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches to find an individualized counseling method that works best for each person. Having a multicultural background myself, I also recognize the importance of providing culturally competent counseling.
