My Approach to Helping
Hi there, and I welcome you to the lifelong path of introspection and personal growth for the sake of the most authentic "you!" Therapy with me provides guidance for you to navigate issues, explore existing relationship patterns, reengage with your identity, and learn new skills to help move your life forward. My ultimate goal is to assist you in finding your most satisfied self, regardless of your reason for seeking therapy.
My philosophy and style in session is a unique blend of cognitive therapy, person-centered focus, a systems perspective that helps me examine the "map" of your life. What does this entail? That the sessions are built around your needs, rather than mine. That I seek to help you make lasting changes in session and in the days that follow, which will help you for the rest of your life. And that we are all a part of something greater, and I want to help you find your best fit in your world, in your relationships with others, and help you find a sense of wonder, comfort, and appreciation in your most authentic self.
My philosophy of life and of therapy is founded on a deep appreciation for my relationships with others, with nature, and with the power of introspection. I feel my best when I'm connecting with others, alone the woods, or wandering somewhere in between in this crazy city of NYC!

My fees range from $120-$18050 minute session, and I accept cash, check, or credit.
Please check with your provider to see if you have "out-of-network" benefits if you are seeking insurance reimbursement, as I am not an in-network provider. A sliding fee scale based on annual income may be considered for clients who experience financial hardship.
Please let me know if you need more information navigating the insurance system! If you are seeking insurance reimbursement, I will present you with a bill at the end of each month to submit to them if they provide partial or full reimbursement after you meet your deductible.
My Role as a Therapist
What is a therapist? Many people seek therapy in hopes of "having someone to talk to." I can provide this, but I consistently strive to be a sounding board for you in many other ways, as well.
Therapists aren't just a shoulder or helpful ear (although we provide that, too!). We are also not advice-givers or go-to problem solvers. Instead, my role of a therapist is to help you uncover your own strengths, your patterns of relating to others, and your most authentic self - and work with you on how to appreciate and cherish this person in all situations and relationships!
A good therapist will help you uncover the best parts of yourself, and help you remove whatever is standing in your way from letting this person shine every single day. I can promise you I won't simply sit back and silently nod - the best therapy is a collaborative, active process!
