My Approach to Helping

I am a psychotherapist specializing in working with people who have been traumatized, who are grieving, who are struggling with transitions in their lives (workplace, relationship, others), or who may be dealing with depression andor anxiety. I work in a long-term model and focus on building a trusting relationship and working over time to highlight issues and build strengths and overall life improvement. I worked for years at the FDNY with firefighters and EMTs traumatized by their 911 exposures and with family members who lost loved ones on 911. I also work with veterans, and have worked extensively with victims of partner abuse. I also practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people process through traumas and areas where they are stuck in their lives.

More Info About My Practice

I charge $175 per session but will negotiate in certain circumstances. I take FDNY members who are insured under the NIOSH WTC program.
