My Approach to Helping
When’s the last time you really felt heard? That, someone, was truly listening to you & what you had to say, instead of just waiting for their turn to speak? In these times when social media seemingly offers instant connections to anyone, yet can still leave you feeling unheard, unseen and disconnected from everyone, having someone give you their undivided attention and consideration can be a rare find. I am that rare find.
My approach to therapy centers around one main principle, “To understand someone, you must know and experience their memories.\" To that end, my most important inquiry is not “What’s wrong with you?,” but rather, “What have you experienced, that has brought you to this point?” Because real connections build through curiosity and compassion, not judgment.
Having space where you are free to express your thoughts, feelings, worries, concerns, hopes & aspirations without fear of judgment or guilt of being too \"self-involved,\" is not only liberating but often the first step towards personal growth, healing & self-actualization.
