My Approach to Helping
Katie is a psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, and families to address concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, eating disorders, and life transitions.
Warm and compassionate, Katie creates a supportive space for her clients to freely explore their thoughts, feelings, strengths, and vulnerabilities. While guiding clients towards fresh insights and perspectives, Katie also shares the skills and strategies they need to accomplish their goals and to build meaningful relationships.
Katie’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative. To strike a balance between insight and action, Katie blends techniques from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and solution focused therapy.
Katie holds a Master’s (M.Ed. and M.A.) degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teacher’s College of Columbia University.
