My Approach to Helping
Together we can overcome obstacles, gain insight, and learn how to build and keep healthy relationships. Addressing unproductive and maladaptive thought patterns by yourself can be difficult, even nearly impossible. Many young adults experience difficulties with peers, relationships, sexual issues, family differences, school, or career challenges. All of these issues can feel overwhelming, but I am here to listen and help guide you through these stressful situations.
When experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, or depression, there is no better feeling than feeling understood. I want you to be able to express yourself and feel heard. I am passionate about providing empathy, acceptance, and encouragement to meet your needs.
My goal is to create a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which you can safely explore and work through any thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that are conscious or unconscious. I am here to help you navigate through the transitions of life and point your narrative towards the direction of value.
I specifically use evidence-based treatments in my practice that are grounded in research including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness based practices. However, above all, I work collaboratively with my clients to tailor a plan that will best fit their life.
