My Approach to Helping
I know what it is like to have to look for a therapist and to be in therapy. The process of finding someone who you can connect with and feel comfortable with can be a daunting one. That is why my main goal is to create a safe environment for you. I offer a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you have the space to work through anything that you are having difficulty with.
As a Gestalt Therapist I offer a holistic, mindful, and integrative experience so that you can feel better and make changes to improve the quality of your life. Gestalt Therapy is a client-centered therapy that focuses on the present. This means that my priority is to listen to you and to understand what is happening to you in the moment. From there we can explore what is causing you pain, to struggle, or to feel stuck.

In addition to being a Gestalt Therapist I was trained as a Multicultural Counselor. I can help you to understand how all aspects of your identity inform how you see and engage with yourself and the people in your life. I work with individuals from diverse ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
I also utilize my training in Maternal Mental Health, Grief and Loss (including Complicated Grief), Shame, Family Systems, Internal Family Systems, Couples Counseling, and Strength Based Counseling. With my use of multiple approaches I provide services that are individualized to your specific needs.

I work with all types of people, facing all types of issues. However my specialties include working with Highly Sensitive People, Women's Issues (Life transitions, Relationship issues, Financial issues, Body image and food, abortion, Pregnancy related issues including Perinatal and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders, miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death), Grief and Loss, Shame, and Identity related issues.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love getting to know people and to understand their lives and experiences. More so, I love getting the opportunity to help people so they can live the life they want to. Many people come to me because they want to heal their pain. Therapy can help you to live a life that is more manageable, enjoyable, and fulfilling. It is an absolute honor for me to work with you, and to understand where you are coming from so that I can help you get to where you want to go.
