My Approach to Helping
**Due to the current health crisis, I am currently offering HIPAA compliant Teletherapy sessions. I also have early morning and evening availability.
My goal in therapy is to create a safe place where you can comfortably identify, process, and work through the challenges that are making it difficult to build the life you want. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with life transitions, relationship challenges, difficulties at work or school, and symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress. In our work together, I will approach you as an individual and draw from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness, problem-solving, and strengths-based perspectives.
I received my Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore and have completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Over the years, I have worked with veterans and their families, as well as adolescents in the foster care system. I have also provided case management services to people suffering from severe psychiatric illness, substance abuse, traumatic brain injury, and other cognitive disorders.
My hope is that we will work together to help you will develop a better understanding of yourself and new ways to manage the challenges life brings. Please contact me with any questions or if you’d like to set up an appointment.
