My Approach to Helping

My theoretical approach to psychotherapy is developmental and psychodynamic. I tend to work relationally and am often told by clients how much they appreciate that I engage them during the session. I am also influenced by the existential and humanistic traditions.

More Info About My Practice

One of my specializations is in MBT (Mentalization Based Treatment). This is an evidence based approach originally developed to treat personality disorders, but I have found it to be a very effective modality at producing lasting change with all kinds of psychological concerns. I am also a qualified Supervisor of MBT-A and enjoy training other mental health practitioners in how to provide MBT to adolescents.
