What's My Approach to Therapy?
As a multicultural ADHD person myself, I strive to provide the type of support I like to receive. This involves using laughter, an understanding of broader systemic and cultural impacts, and addressing that mean voice in your head. Many neurodiverse people are stuck with a voice that repeats criticisms we have heard for many years.
Hearing “What’s wrong with you? Why can’t you just do this thing that is simple for normal people?” takes a toll on your concept of self and cause you to feel stuck or even unable to dream.
Together, we can build your self-acceptance, self-trust and self-confidence. You are not broken, you just exist in a world that was not made for you. Just like a left handed person needs left-handed scissors - you just need the correct tools.
