My Approach to Helping
My approach is grounded in an awareness of the dignity and divinity of each person I have the privilege to work with. I work from the assumption that all beings are interconnected, but we often forget this as we go about our lives. Feelings of disconnection, fear, anxiety, unworthiness, shame, and doubt can become pervasive when we lose touch with our true selves. I am here to provide you with the time, space, and support to get back in touch with the aspect of you who is brave, loving, wise, and deeply connected.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
I believe that healing and transformation happen when we feel uniquely seen, heard, and known. Often, it helps to have someone bear witness to us and just be with us in our experience. Therapy can also help us notice our patterns and become aware of our habitual responses, which can then help us uncover new perspectives and new approaches to engage with our lives and relationships. We may go about our lives changing external factors and continue to feel the same way. When we give ourselves time to explore our inner landscape, we can see the ways in which we really are in the driver's seat of our lives, and always have choices, no matter how bleak our situations may feel.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love getting to know YOU. You bring with you a unique character, energy, and identity that is unrepeatable. One of the things I love about my work is getting to understand how things feel to you, specifically, and what it's like for you in your lived experience. I love collaborating with you to identify what supports you to feel more connected, more loving, and more free.
My Role as a Therapist
I believe you are the authority in your life. I see my role as supporting you to align with and trust your own inner knowing to make choices that are right for you. I provide a space where you are free to explore all aspects of yourself and your life without judgment.
