My Approach to Helping

Welcome! It was a trying year for everyone. Perhaps it brought new behaviors out of your children or yourself. Maybe it reminded you of past traumas. Many of us have “big T” traumas like abuse or near-death experiences. We all have some “little t” traumas, like feeling repeatedly rejected by others. Part of us gets stuck back when the no-good-dirty-rotten-thing happened, but you don’t have to stay there. You can be free of the grip of big T and little t traumas. These no longer have to affect you, your child, the way you parent, or many other things like weight management. Visit my website for more information or to set up a consultation. I would love to work with you.
You might also be here because you, your partner, or your child are hurting. This is expressed in difficult behaviors, negative thoughts, distressing body sensations, or painful relationships. Maybe something happened in the past that is hard to forget, and now you’re finding it hard to “move on.” You might feel guilty and take that out on yourself or your family. If it’s your child, maybe they’ve been asked to leave school. Counseling is here to help with that. We hold our memories, pain, and negative experiences within our bodies. If you’ve experienced intimate abuse, you might notice the difficulty in maintaining a healthy weight no matter how hard you try. Children survivors of trauma often seem to have ADHD, though it’s a survival skill called hypervigilance. Most people find pain or tension carried somewhere, like the back or shoulders. Therapies such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR allow us to release the memory from our body and relieve these symptoms. The Gottman Relationship Coaching goal is to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship. Life coaching helps you maximize your full potential and reach your desired results. I am a supportive friend, and a trusted adviser rolled into one. I will push you to identify your goals, hold you accountable, and encourage your journey to become a better version of yourself. Please explore my website or contact me for more information. I’m happy to answer any questions you have and offer 30- or 60-minute virtual and phone consultations through my website. To best fit your schedule, I see clients daily, including evenings and weekends, your schedule. Find out more or book an appointment at www.drdanielakrotzer.com. 🌺

More Info About My Practice

Currently, I am solely in telehealth. I have found that the comfort our homes provide has given telehealth sessions an air of openness and fun. Seeing my clients in the natural worlds of their houses and meeting their families (this includes fur babies!) have given me opportunities to learn so much more about them. On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Understandable. Not only are you going to share important parts of yourself--you are also sharing with another person. I believe the relationship we co-create is vital to creating safety for vulnerability. Do not hesitate to ask me more about a therapy relationship and your expectations of such a relationship.
