My Approach to Helping

There is no such thing as a stress-free life, and certainly no “How To” book written on how to perfectly manage the challenges before you. Using a collaborative approach to counseling, we will work together to find the therapeutic strategies that are effective for you while ruling out what is not effective for you along the way. My approach to treatment is person-centered and collaborative. My goal is to create a welcoming and safe space for you to express yourself openly. I strive to provide unconditional support and positive regard for my clients. My role is to support you in exploring tools that can help you to facilitate personal growth and promote long-term wellness.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. I earned both my BA in Psychology and my MA in Mental Health Counseling at Adelphi University. I have worked with a wide variety of populations across multiple settings including higher education, hospital, and private practice. I do not believe in a one size fits all model. I believe that each individual is unique, therefore I use a collaborative approach to counseling to ensure my client's needs are met. I am humbled to be invited to be a part of your therapeutic journey and look forward to sharing in this process together!
