My Approach to Helping
I began my journey in the field of social work in 2008, and have worked with adolescents, children, families, and adults. My varied experience has enabled me to work with clients who struggle with trauma, post-traumatic stress, behavioral problems, environmental stress, domestic violence, sexual and physical abuse, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety.
I've administered family and group therapy, in addition to facilitating support groups. I've used art, music, and writing to help my clients explore deeper parts of themselves, while cultivating mindful self-awareness.
I use trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy to help my clients lead more positive lives and increase natural supports and links to the community. I help my clients build coping skills, boost self-esteem, and build upon their strengths to empower them to accomplish their goals and grow.
