My Approach to Helping
You've always handled problems on your own. But now, you don't even know HOW you feel. You just know that you feel disillusioned, disconnected and disengaged. You work hard (you always have!) You're not the kind of parent you had hoped you'd be. You're worried about your kid or kids, but you and your partner are handling it differently. You are pulling away from, or fighting with your partner. You're afraid your marriage or relationship is falling apart.
Starting therapy is an act of courage. It is my goal to create a safe space where you can feel understood, accepted, free from judgement. I welcome you to individual or couple therapy. I will help you become more aware, understand and accept yourself in the deepest and most transformative way.
It is hard to make changes when your life is overwhelming. I "get it". Perhaps a crisis or a loss interrupts and you're not sure what to do. I am a compassionate, engaged therapist who strives to understand your experience. Let me support you through the tough work of change, growth and recovery.
