My Approach to Helping
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve spent much of your life holding it all together for everyone else. Maybe you’re tired of overthinking, second-guessing your feelings, or wondering if you’re “too much.” You might be used to hiding parts of yourself to feel safe or accepted. If any of that resonates, you’re in the right place. This is a space where your full self is welcome. I’m here to support you with compassion, honesty, and zero judgment. On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
If you are feeling unsure about starting therapy, you are not alone! Its totally normal to have questions, fears, or even skepticism about the therapy process. Maybe you're wondering: Will this actually help me? What if I dont know what to say? What if I open up and it's too much? Therapy doesnt require you to have it all figured out before you begin. You dont need to have the right words or a clear goal from day one. All that is required is a willingness to show up, and we will take it from there at your pace. In our sessions, I will offer a space where you can feel supported, not judged. We will work collaboratively, which means we will check in often about what is working and what is not. If something feels off, you can tell me and we will adjust. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I will tailor it to what you need. Most importantly, if you feel like we are not a good fit please let me know and I would be happy to help you connect with a therapist that better fit for you. You do not have to commit to forever. Just start with one 15 minute FREE conversation. This might be the beginning of something really meaningful.
