My Approach to Helping

My desire is to offer outside feedback and perspective to support positive growth and change. I aim to hold individuals accountable to their goals, help them build coping skills and help them become better equipped to deal with life challenges.

Trying to understand the emotional complexity of one’s own brain can be tricky. But as a parent, caregiver, or guardian being tasked with helping your child navigate their emotions and life challenges is an additional stressor and one perhaps that can be better handled with the help of a trained therapist as your partner. I am a pre-licensed marriage and family therapist with over 5 years of clinical experience. I am honored to walk with you and your family while you negotiate the challenges of life. I have a special spot for children, especially gifted children as well as twice exceptional (2e) children and their families.

I utilize an integrated approach that focuses on whole person health. I recognize that many factors can contribute to one experiencing mental health symptoms (biological, spiritual, psychological, relational…) and utilize client and family collaboration to best fit the needs of each individual.
