My Approach to Therapy

I like to find ways clients can play to their strengths in more ways than they expected, while also giving grace towards unwanted thoughtsbehaviors that have served a purpose in the past. I believe people are doing the best they can with what they have- we may need more information in order to do better, and we also need to process hurts that are holding us back from our relationship with ourselves and others. I use an integrated approach with a systemic lens to inform my work and the way I view problems and solutions. I believe that intimate relationships are one of the most important elements of being a human--this includes the therapeutic relationship. I enjoy connecting deeply with clients to learn and understand their personal perspectives on their issues and the ways their unique stories have unfolded. I use narrative, experiential, and person-centered techniques to help clients find their voice to advocate for themselves, set boundaries, or express their feelings. Your story has meaning and importance that I would be honored to be part of processing alongside you.

My Practice & Services

I have a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. I have 10 years experience working in community mental health settings with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. I enjoy working with teens and adult clients using an eclectic approach to address the issues facing them. I believe you are the expert in your experiences, desires, and needs for change, and I'm happy to help you address the barriers in taking your next steps towards aligning more with your authentic self. My sessions involve a needed dose of humor while we explore deeper meanings together.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have specific experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, across different stages of life. What guides my work is the understanding that many of the challenges neurodivergent people face are not personal deficits, but the result of navigating environments that aren?t designed for how their brains function. Rather than focusing on ?fixing? behaviors, I help clients better understand their patterns, sensory needs, emotional responses, and executive functioning differences. From there, we build practical systems and ways of relating to themselves that are realistic, sustainable, and aligned with who they are. I also recognize the impact of masking, burnout, and chronic self-doubt that many neurodivergent individuals carry. Therapy becomes a place to reduce that pressure, reconnect with a more authentic sense of self, and develop strategies that support both daily life and long-term well-being.
