My Approach to Helping
In addition to being a mental health practitioner, I am also licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. For the past 9 years I have worked with individuals from birth to adults and have experience working with families and clients with issues ranging from neuro-divergence, ADHD, Autism, attachment issues, PTSD, anxiety, sensory processing disorders and clients with dual-diagnoses. I offer an integrative approach of humanistic and person-centered, psychodynamic and strength-based interventions.
I have training within trauma-informed care, mind and body connection, reflex integration that impacts our self-regulation and emotions, along with understanding our nervous system. I have worked with a variety of communication styles and I am in tune with non verbal language and emotions. I can help clients move beyond talk therapy by helping them tune into and connect with their bodies, where trauma is often stored.
More Info About My Practice
I see the client and therapist relationship as a place to build safety and connection through revisiting past and current experiences by making sense out of those feelings and experiences together. I value collaboration and see myself as a part of your journey to help bring clarity and understanding. I view myself as a helper not a fixer and that together we can build resilience and understanding to your life experiences. I work with ages 12+, teens and adults that are seeking guidance with pastcurrent experiences, healing, understanding and finding ways to live life in a way that is meaningful and that feels good to you.
