Finding the right therapist for you may be the most important part of your treatment. In order to get the most out of therapy, it's best to feel comfortable and confident with your therapist.

Should you decide to work with me, you can count on me to be honest, insightful and compassionate. I create a warm and caring environment by building a trusting relationship based on respect, acceptance and understanding, where clients feel safe to identify and address obstacles for growth and change. When issues are beyond your control, I can help you find new ways of relating to your situation and help you access your inner wisdom and strength, which can reduce your emotional pain.

I take into context your larger life perspective, with special focus on your strengths and unique experience. I use a collaborative, integrative and holistic approach to support you. I believe there is a dynamic connection between mind, body, and spirit that affect one's overall health. I will support you in making changes that can help you reach your goals, attain emotional well-being, and improve your life.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I support clients to:
- reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety or stress
- improve relationships and decrease conflict
- enhance parenting skills and improve family functioning
- make peace with their inner critic and reduce perfectionism
- work through grief and loss
- navigate life's transitions and achieve personal growth

I also specialize in helping women overcome eating, food, weight, exercise, perfectionism and body image issues. I received specialized training in eating disorders through the Association of Professional Treating Eating Disorders. In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, I am a psychotherapist and yoga instructor at Cielo House, an eating disorder treatment program. Whether you are in recovery from eating disorder, emotionally or compulsively overeating, engaging in excessive exercise or other compensatory behaviors, I can support you to work through the underlying issues related to food, eating, body image and weight, as well as assist you in building the coping skills to help keep you on the road to recovery. I believe full recovery from eating issues is possible. Recovery is a process of discovering who you really are.
