How Psychotherapy Can Help

Initially, psychotherapy can help reduce symptoms and improve intellectual functions, like memory and concentration. Once a person is less symptomatic, psychotherapy can help build interpersonal skills, improve self care and address effects of trauma. Old management strategies, like substance abuse or tantrumming can be replaced with newer more effective ways of managing stress and relationships for improved quality of life going forward.
