My Approach to Helping

We are not meant to be in constant psychological stress, emotional and/or physical pain. Nor are we meant to feel unhappy in our relationships or job. The discomfort you may feel right now may be a sign to you that something in your life needs attention. Feeling whole, feeling connected to others and feeling fully alive is a birthright that we can all achieve. And you do not have to do it all alone.

We all have an inherent wisdom that guides us. In my work I strive to provide a supportive, non-judgemental and clear space where together we can help you become more attuned to what you need, so you can improve your mood, your relationships, the quality of your life and reach your goals.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and a Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy from Hunter College of CUNY.

In addition, I have pursued post graduate studies at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center in New York City.

I am provider for CareFirst BlueCross and BlueShield (ID Number: Y7970001).
My fee range is between $90 and $120 per session.
Sliding fee scale accepted, if you are not covered by insurance.

I have expertise in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, ADHD, eating disorders and body image issues. And I am particulalry attuned to issues of differences and diversity, cultural, racial, parenting ADHD children, gay and lesbian issues as well as ageing. I also provide couple's therapy. My understanding of the mind/body relationship guides my work. I strive to witness and support the wellbeing and growth of the whole person, mind, psyche, body and spirit.
