My Approach to Helping
My passion is creating a culture of acceptance and comfort around therapy and taking care of our mental health. Maintaining our mental and emotional health is as important as maintaining our physical health. I believe that healing begins with the individual and I empower clients to use their internal resilience and strength to achieve the change they want. When working with clients, I use a variety of theories and techniques to better guide them along all phases of their therapeutic journey.
The priority when starting with a new client is stabilization of symptoms. Once that has occurred, we move into processing of experiences and maintenance of daily functioning. I will work with you to create a safe space with a strong therapeutic relationship to encourage positive outcomes.
I will always support you with unconditional positive regard while also motivating and challenging you to achieve your personal goals.
I know getting started in therapy and finding the right therapist for you can sometimes be a stressful process. Once you find a therapist who is a good fit for you and your personal goals, great things start to happen!
