What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you’ve landed here, chances are you’ve been carrying more than your share—stress that doesn’t let up, anxiety that keeps you up at night, or the quiet weight of feeling like you’re not enough. Maybe you’ve been pushing through for a long time, but deep down you know something has to change.
That’s where I come in. I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood—not judged, rushed, or given surface-level advice. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe and supportive space to slow down, talk through what’s really going on, and start building tools you can actually use in daily life.
My style is warm, collaborative, and straightforward. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and share strategies tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll draw from approaches like mindfulness, CBT, and DBT, but most importantly, we’ll focus on what feels meaningful and effective for you.
You don’t have to keep doing this alone. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you untangle what’s weighing you down and discover the resilience and clarity you already have within you. Therapy is about creating real change, one step at a time, and I’d be honored to be part of that journey with you.
My Practice & Services
KMF Counseling Solutions is a fully online practice, serving adults anywhere in Texas. All sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform so you can attend therapy from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you feel most at ease.
I am bilingual and provide therapy in both English and Spanish, offering culturally responsive care for Latinoa professionals and clients who feel most comfortable in Spanish.
I keep the process simple and accessible—clients can request a free consultation, complete paperwork online, and begin therapy without long waitlists. Sessions are typically 55+ minutes, with flexible scheduling options including evenings to fit the needs of busy professionals.
Beyond individual therapy, I also provide therapy focused on early-career professionals, support for major life transitions, and mindfulness-based approaches for stress and anxiety. My practice is designed to be consistent and reliable—no last-minute cancellations or confusing billing, just real support when you need it.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
It's completely normal to feel nervous about starting therapy - especially if this is your first time, or if you've had an experience in the past that didn't feel helpful. Many of my clients worry they'll be judged, told what to do, or feel pressured to open up before they're ready.
Here's what I want you to know: therapy with me is a conversation, not a lecture. We go at your pace. You don't have to have all the "right words" or know exactly where to start - that's part of what we figure out together. My role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and honestly, without fear of judgment.
You may also wonder, "Will this actually help?" That's a fair question. What I can promise is that you'll leave each session with more clarity, tools you can use in real life, and the sense that someone is truly listening and walking alongside you. Therapy is about building trust, step by step, and you're always in control of the process.
If you're hesitant, I encourage you to try a consultation first. Sometimes that first conversation is all it takes to realize you don't have to carry this alone anymore.
