My Approach to Therapy

You’re not broken. You may have it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected inside. You might be the dependable one others rely on, yet feel stuck in your relationships and exhausted from holding it all together. You’re ready to stop running on autopilot, understand your patterns, and finally feel more present and at peace. In therapy, we’ll uncover the “why” behind your stress—not just manage symptoms. We’ll map the patterns that keep you stuck and build new ways of responding using somatic (body-based) tools, parts work (IFS), and EMDR for deeper healing when appropriate. Together, we’ll focus on nervous system regulation and relational patterns so you can feel more grounded and connected in your life. I have two decades of experience helping high-functioning adults navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, anger, substance use, and life transitions. My approach blends warmth and humor with evidence-based care. Clients often describe me as grounded, relatable, and straightforward—“like a workout for your mind, but in a good way!” I believe lasting change happens when we address root causes, not just surface symptoms. On a personal note, I’m married with three kids (including teens!) and love being active outdoors. You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re ready to invest in yourself, email or call to schedule a free 15-minute consultation and see if we’re a good fit.

My Practice & Services

I offer secure telehealth sessions to adult clients throughout Texas.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

That's normal. Maybe a past experience didn't fit, or you're new and not sure what to expect. Therapy should feel safe and nonjudgmental. It's a place to make sense of what you're feeling, learn about your patterns, and practice take-home tools for daily life. We'll move at your pace with clear goals. Even if you're just curious, a brief call can help you decide if it's the right next step.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I view many mental health ?disorders? as adaptive responses to trauma, chronic stress, and relational wounds rather than inherent pathology. Symptoms often reflect a nervous system that learned to survive in difficult circumstances. My work focuses on understanding these patterns, restoring regulation and connection, and addressing root causes?without over-pathologizing or reducing people to diagnoses.
