My Approach to Helping

Anxiety and trauma are a heavy burden, disconnecting us from our lives, loved ones, and our own sense of vitality and safety in our minds and bodies while trapping us in a persistent feeling of unease. If you are like my clients, you want to truly heal from this burden rather than just cover up symptoms and stay stuck in the cycle of an overwhelmed nervous system. To move past trauma and anxiety for good, we must foster safety in our lives, heal the source of our pain, and develop a felt sense of our own capacity to flourish. My practice is all about helping my clients through that process as a supportive companion and guide.

As a trauma and anxiety specialist, I help my clients to soothe overwhelmed nervous systems and develop the ability to fully process emotions related to trauma responses and anxiety. I also teach clients to harness their natural capacity to flourish and thrive. The result is a sense of reconciliation with the past and resolve in the present and future.

It may feel far away right now, but true peace and safety is possible. I would be honored to help you in attaining that goal. If you are ready to heal from past experiences and connect to your felt capacity to thrive, please reach out via email or GoodTherapy to schedule a free 20 minute consultation.

More Info About My Practice

I have received specialized training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy—a modality that can significantly increase one's felt sense of safety in relationships and their body, as well as foster a deep connection to internal sources of motivation, growth, and healing. I also have extensive experience using psychotherapies like Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy that help to establish a knowing, compassionate, and actionable relationship with one's sensations, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Using these approaches as well as solution-oriented approaches, we can foster a felt sense of peace and strength.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My primary specialties are trauma and anxiety. I am particularly skilled at helping clients heal from longstanding attachment trauma and anxiety in relationships, but I am also highly trained in resolving anxiety and trauma stemming from other sources. On top of healing the typical symptoms of trauma and anxiety, I am trained to resolve the many side effects of these conditions: relationship instability, perfectionism, self-criticism and low self-esteem, depression, and coping issues.

Groups I Work With

My clients are people living with persistent anxiety or the remnants of traumatic experiences, especially relational attachment trauma. They often experience overwhelm, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship struggles and low self-worth on top of the worry and strain of trauma and anxiety. Clients often come to me when they hope to truly heal from trauma and anxiety rather than just manage symptoms. As such, many of my clients work with me (in conjunction with their psychiatrist or medical doctor) when they are ready to scale back from or cease using psychiatric medications.

I also specialize in working with people experiencing coping habits that are controlling their lives, as well as those experiencing grief or intense life transitions. I strive to provide a safe healing environment for all who want to work with me, including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients.
