My Approach to Helping
Many of us fall into dark times when we feel low, helpless, lonely, and at a loss for how to move forward. We may be having difficulties with relationships, continuing to engage in problematic behaviors, facing ongoing stressors and challenges that feel unwinnable, andor just lacking satisfaction in our day-to-day life.
If you are in a place similar to this, I can assist you in finding light, fulfillment, and resolution. With compassion and collaboration, we will develop an understanding of your unique stories, patterns, hopes, and ambitions so that you can be equipped to make the most out of each circumstance, hardship, and opportunity.
As a therapist, I bring warmth, empathy, humor, and directness into our therapeutic relationship. I maintain an active awareness that, when it comes to your life, you are the expert. My goal is to create an environment in which you feel comfortable being transparent so that therapy is safe and tailored according to what you need. I also am committed to utilizing evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as a modern relational psychoanalytic theory, Intersubjectivity theory. Together, these factors have enabled me to help many clients find relief from depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, crises, and phase of life adjustments.
