My Approach to Helping
On the outside we may try to seem like we have it all together - work, parenting, staying healthy, and avoiding addictions. But inside, most of us are screaming. Screaming to be heard, to feel seen, to find peace, and to live a calm and happy life. In my practice I strive to work with people to tackle real external problems that cause tremendous internal pain and struggling. Whether my clients suffer from a long history of anxiety and alcohol dependence, or struggle to understand childhood trauma, PTSD, or severe addiction, I meet every person with radical empathy, kindness, and compassion.
I have dedicated my career to working with vulnerable people with lifetimes of trauma, abuse, neglect, and severe mental illness. This makes me uniquely equipped to not only provide support for general issues, but to work with you on some of the “big stuff.” I will always provide a safe environment for you to explore your most difficult feelings.
Even if you are on the fence about therapy, I encourage you to reach out. The first step is undoubtedly the hardest and I promise to answer all inquiries with no judgment - just support, compassion, and a little humor to add levity to a difficult situation
