My Approach to Helping
Life can be very challenging and may feel overwhelming; you may feel like there's nothing you can do to change it. You may have experienced situations in your life that have changed the way you see yourself, the world around you, wondering if that situation will dictate your future or who you will become. I encourage clients to share their problems by providing an empathetic, non-judgmental approach. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I also believe that the mind and body impact one another.
I work with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma; and have several issues to work through. As a licensed psychologist, I work collaboratively with my clients to formulate a plan to help them accomplish their goals and develop copings skills. The modalities I use in therapy are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF CBT), and attachment therapy.
