My Approach to Helping
I obtained my M.A. in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy in 2017 from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years and practicing as a therapist for 3 years. I have served adults, couples, transitional aged adults, adolescents, children, folks who are questioning, transitioning, struggling with gender dysphoria, and those who are systems-impacted. As a therapist I work from a strengths-based, interpersonal, human centered, intersectional, and trauma informed lens. I believe there are many paths towards personal transformation and healing-that each person is on a unique course, and the therapeutic process should be equally tailored and individualized to you. My ability to support growth, change, healing, and the discovery of one’s truth, is due in part to this belief. I may utilize many modalities during the therapeutic process, which may include; EMDR, talk therapy, dream work, narrative therapy, expressive arts, or mindfulness practices.
